Vinny was born in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn but now makes Staten Island his home. Honing his craft he was influenced by the work of Giorgio Moroder, Omar Santana, Lenny Dee & Frankie Bones. Although squarely in the EDM realm these days Vinny actually started out his recording career in the world of Hip Hop.
Vinny spent the beginning of his career in Washington Heights in the recording studio paying his dues and learning from every experience and opportunity. He created tracks for him to rap over and at the same time was spinning vinyl as a DJ. Vinny took every opportunity afforded to him to perform as well both here in New York and also at his brothers club in Miami.
He was given the name Vinny Venom by a friend because of his fascination with reptiles and venomous snakes in particular. He held 7 of the world’s most venomous snakes and this Scorpio has a 6 foot giant lizard named Miami as a pet!
Vinny’s Favorite recording of all time is Giorgio Moroder’s “The Chase.” Vinny’s favorite movie is The Godfather 2. The scenes of old world Italy that told the story of the Italian immigration to America was both informing and spoke of his background as a proud Italian American.
The most pivotal moment of Vinny’s life was the recent passing of his Mom. It brought him to his knees and almost stopped his creativity. His mom was super supportive of Vinny’s career and dream of having his music find success on a global level. Vinny realized that he could honor his Mom by pushing forward and living the life she would want him to have. These two tracks have in their mix names her initials “GL” as they were inspired by and in tribute to his Mom. His faith is strong and he believes that she has now transitioned into a guardian angel who will look over him for the rest of his life. Love is eternal and Vinny pours his heart and soul into all he does. No half stepping here, Vinny is ALL in ALL the time and fully focused on a career in music. He wants Beatcutterz music to not only showcase his production talent but also to nurture the talent of others.
