I took classical piano lessons when I was 6 at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music in New York, I auditioned and was accepted as a sophomore at Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music and the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center in New York City when I was 15. I was also the keyboardist for the “Strangleweed 2006” live shows on Channel 11 Morning News in Dallas, Texas and was contracted with the Armed Forces Entertainment division of the U.S. Military whom we have performed live for in Singapore and on the island of Diego Garcia. We eventually ended opening for the Sony Music band “The Romantics” in Corpus Christi, Texas where I also performed live for and did session work for the Josh Davis Band (myspace dot com/joshdavisinfo) on a few of the tracks which charted respectably well on the Texas Music Charts. At one point I was also a full time dueling piano player nationally in the the U.S. for dueling piano venues such as “Alley Cats” on South Lamar at the West End in Dallas, TX, “Rum Runners” in Southbend, Indiana and San Destin, FL, “Cheers” in San Antonio, Texas, “Boogie Woogies” in Boise, Idaho, “Sweet Carolines” in Virginia Beach, Virginia, “Rosie O’Gradys” in Pensacola, Florida, “Pluto Rocks” in Charlotte, South Carolina, and “Howl At The Moon” in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and on Bourbon St. in New Orleans, Louisiana while reworking old songs and writing new ones in my spare time. Some of my dueling piano experiences from when I was on the road will reflect on an upcoming track called “Been Bad For Me” of my next Universal Music Spinnup/ep release on (Vol. 2) which should be due to arrive sometime next month but you can pre-order it exclusively from my Bandcamp page at https://jerryimpini.bandcamp.com for a limited time only.
